The ongoings on the ground

Trading funding education for security is a tough call. I think the logic that was used in making this decision was in the amount of damage that would have been caused if one sector would have received the funding as compared to the other, then again the security sector didn't request for funding which begs the question, why the tradeoff in the first place?
But as always there is something that seems to be going on behind the curtains in this drama and if one would ask why, the matter may end up being discussed in a meeting of a group of people who are going to end up discussing the matter, for at least three months, on what we already know and then announce their findings to us so proudly as if we had no clue in the first place. Did I mention that they will then go ahead and demand some exorbitant wage for the work they have done?
In the midst of this there are still some unsettled IDPs, MP's still don't want to get taxed, the price of sugar keeps getting bitter by the hour, teachers are on the street while students stare at empty blackboards, the live proceedings at the Hague have now taken over some, if not most, of our attention.
